You can get one or two hard drives, doesn't matter; I'd go with two Beyond that specific question, i guess i'm just wondering if anyone who has consistenly been running a server could lend some helpful ideas here,

I am using a Lacie external hard drive. I do not know of it actually encloses a WD hard drive. I will make enquires. I will probably opt for USB 2.0 drives if/when I go to external again. Perhaps the firewire thing has been resolved by now, maybe it was just a WD issue, dunno.
